Check resurrection in Masnavi of Rumi

The issue of resurrection and death has always been a topic for human thought and analysis and it can be admitted that the only thing expressed by human beings about death is that they cannot understand its truth. This topic has been the most important concern for human beings so that many people have tried to discover the truth about it or to find some justification for accepting this doomed phenomenon. This study is an attempt to investigate the resurrection and death with regard to Rumi’s mystic thoughts in Mathnai Maanavi. Through an analysis of Rumi’s poems, it can be found that in spite of the fear from death, human beings can make death enjoyable and pleasant for themselves so that it is considered as a journey to the spiritual world where they originate from. The source of Rumi’s inspiration is Quran and he has succeeded in depicting resurrection and death through different stories to make any religious person think about death. In this study, based on the mystic and religious books, the author has initially presented the Islamic views on death and resurrection, and then Rumi’s ideas about this issue have been analyzed.
