The effect of pragmatic and transformational leadership styles on the performance of Joghatay city teachers by mediating intellectual capital in 2018-2019

The overall purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of pragmatic and transformational leadership styles on the performance of teachers in Jagata with intellectual capital mediation. The research method is descriptive survey. The statistical population of the study consisted of 306 students in all first and second grade teachers of Jaghtai city who were selected by stratified random sampling of 195 students. Research tools included Boss Leadership Styles Questionnaire (2006), Bonits Intellectual Capital Questionnaire (1998) and Hershey & Gold Smith Performance Questionnaire (2013). Face validity and Cronbach's alpha were used to assess the validity of the questionnaire. Findings were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, mean, standard deviation, mean and median and inferential statistics of multivariate analysis of variance to test each hypothesis and to compare between research groups and to determine path coefficients of conceptual model from analysis method. The route was used by SPSS software. Data analysis and analysis showed that transformational and pragmatic leadership styles mediated by intellectual capital had significant effects on the performance of first and second grade teachers, but transformational leadership style directly influenced the performance of second grade teachers and pragmatic leadership styles. They did not have a significant effect on the performance of first grade teachers. It can be concluded that paying special attention to the intellectual capital of teachers can be of great help in the positive performance of teachers when adopting a particular leadership style.
