Title : عنوان پایان نامه(انگلیسی): Investigation of the Relationship Between Personality Profiles and Attachment Styles with Crime Types (Violent and Non-violent) Among Prisoners: The Mediating Role of Emotion Regulation Skills

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between personality profiles and attachment among prison clients with violent and non-violent crimes and the mediating role of emotion regulation skills. The statistical population of this study includes all clients residing in Neyshabur prisons in 1404-1405, 900 people, whose final verdict has been issued. This population is divided into two subgroups: "violent crime perpetrators" and "non-violent crime perpetrators". In this study, in order to achieve the desired number of samples according to the statistical population, a sample of 269 people was selected from the Morgan (1979) table based on the total number of statistical population (900 people) using a stratified random method. To collect data, personality trait questionnaires (NEO), the revised adult attachment scale by Collins and Reed in 1990, and the difficulty in emotion regulation questionnaire by Gratz and Romer (2004) were used. In this study, descriptive statistics (frequency, graph, and calculation of mean and median indices) were used to analyze the data and also to test the fourth hypothesis of examining the difference in the mean of variables in the two groups of clients with a tendency to criminal and non-criminal acts using SPSS version 28 software. To examine the main hypotheses, the first, second, and third, the structural equation method was used with the help of SMART pls8.8 software. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between personality profiles and attachment among prison clients with violent and non-violent crimes and the mediating role of emotion regulation skills
