Abstract The commandment of Prayer is one of the absolute rules in Islam and one of the issues that makes influences on it and changes its quantity is travelling which reduces the length of the traveler’s prayer. In this regard, the reason of reconsidering this issue is finding the answer for this question: whether the travelling is the reason of prayer’s reduction or difficulties of the travelling? Based on the first comment, the reason of reduction is travelling and not the difficulties of it, because of the modern technologies. But based on the comments that pays attention to the difficulties of travelling, modern transportation systems are not effective in prayer’s reduction. Also, in the explanation of the rule of homeland, there is a need for reconsideration. Moreover, explanation of the rules of homeland in today’s travelling, and also the rules of homeland and length of reduction are the other related issues. In this study and based on the analytic-descriptive method using jurisprudential sources the results show that most of the Imams' jurists, believe that the prayer’s reduction in travelling is accepted.
