This study investigates the attention paid to the components of media literacy in fourth, fifth and sixth grade social studies textbooks as well as a document on the fundamental evolution of education. The research method in this study was quantitative content analysis. Components of media literacy include: message perception and interpretation, information exchange, critical media analysis, innovation in media birth, blindness to specific media, and observance of the use of networked media in a statistical sample. They have been analyzed from the checklist. The statistical population and sample of social studies textbooks are primary and secondary education and document the fundamental transformation of education. The units of analysis in this study are all texts, pictures, classroom activities, and questions. The research instrument consists of a checklist compiled by a researcher with 6 components. According to the checklists, the content of the basic transcript is encoded and the information collected is broken down into separate tables.
