the effect of neurofeedback on visual and auditory memory of autistic children in sabzevar

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of neurofeedback training on visual and auditory memory of autistic children in sabzevar.the research was semi-experimental,whit pretest-posttest and control group. The statistical population included all children with autism in the age range of 5 to 8 years old referring to sabzevar rehabilitation clinics during the period of March 2017 to Auguest 2017.the sampling method was random simple.it means that first a center was selected randomly from sabzevar rehabilitation centers and then ,a number of 30 autistic children without problems such as down syndrome were randomly selected.then these children randomly simple assigned to experimental and control group(each group,n=15).the experimental group received a 15 sessions of 60 minutes neurofeedback training program for 15 weeks and the control group did not have any intervention.data required were collected by andre ray visual memory questionnaire (cardA&B) and Wechsler auditory memory test(direct &reverse) .the obtained data were analyzed using covariance analysis.the results of covariance analysis showed that neurofeedback training was effective on increasing on vissual and auditory memory of autistic children.therefore,neurofeedback can be used as an efficient way to increase visual and auditory memory of autistic children.
