The effectiveness of play therapy on social skills and eye communication of children with autism spectrum from ۳ to ۷ years of Mashhad

The present study was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of play therapy on social skills and eye communication of children with autism spectrum from 3 to 7 years of age in Mashhad. The pre-test-post-test research design was unequal with the control group. The statistical population of the research was 118 children with autism disorder in the center of education and treatment of autistic disorders in Mashhad city. Lego therapy intervention program of Ligoff and Ones, 2007 edition, was implemented for the experimental group. Data collection tools include; Gilliam's Autism Communication Skills Scoring Scale (GARZ), Autism Social Skills Profile was Billini and Hopf (2007). The data obtained from this research were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential (variance assumptions and covariance test) with the help of spss 28 software. The findings of the research showed that play therapy has an effect on the social skills and eye contact of children on the autism spectrum between 3 and 7 years of age in Mashhad
