The mediating role of social support in the relationship between job burnout and professional behaviors of primary teachers in Jovein city

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of social support in the relationship between job burnout and professional behaviors of primary teachers in Jovein city. The research method is descriptive-correlation type and the statistical population consists of all primary school teachers of Joyn city, numbering 650 people. Among the statistical population, 246 people were selected as a sample by stratified random sampling method using Karjesi and Morgan table. The required data were used from Ayubi Awaz, Pourshafi and Asgari's professional behavior questionnaire (2013), Maslash and Jackson's (1981) job burnout, and Zimmet, Dalm, Zimmet and Farley's (1988) social support questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by Pearson correlation method and structural equation modeling using SPSS and Lisrel software. The results of the research indicated the existence of a significant negative relationship between job burnout and professional behaviors and social support. Also, the mediating role of social support in the relationship between job burnout and professional behaviors of elementary teachers in Jovein city was confirmed.
