elationship between developmental and emotional variables and the competence of moral judgments of second year high school students in Sabzevar in the academic year 2020-2021

This research is considered as a basic research in terms of purpose and is descriptive and correlational. In which the relationship between developmental and emotional variables with the competence of moral judgments of second year high school students in Sabzevar in the academic year 2020-2021was studied. The statistical population in this study was all high school students in the second year of Sabzevar in the academic year 2020-2021, which according to the official report of the Sabzevar Education Department, their number is about 4000 people (girls: 2300, boys: 1700). In the present study, considering all high school students in the second year of Sabzevar city and using the available sampling method based on Cochran's formula; The sample consisted of 350 high school students. In this study, to collect data from Lind's (2006) Moral Judgment Questionnaire, Hatch et al.'s (1998) beliefs and spiritual conflict questionnaire, White (1997) Sources of Moral Authority, the Beavers & Hampson Family Self-Report (1990), and Empathy Davis (1983). And self-conscious emotion TOSCA-2 - Tangni et al. (1992) were used and stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the data and SPSS-26 software was used in all statistical analyzes of this study. The results showed that the developmental variables of family function, spiritual life and attribution to moral resources and emotional variables of empathy and self-conscious ability have the ability to predict the competence of moral judgments of high school students (P<0.05). Therefore, the relationship between developmental and emotional variables and the competence of moral judgments of second year high school students in Sabzevar is significant (P<0.05).
