The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and High-risk Behaviors with Individual and Social Adaptation of 11th Basic Students in Secondary High School in Firoozeh

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and high-risk behaviors with personal-social adjustment of 11th grade elementary school students in Firoozeh city. This study was a descriptive-correlational one in terms of applied purpose. The statistical population of this study consisted of all the students in the eleventh grade of the second grade of high school in Firooz city who were 750 students. Statistical sample of this study was 256 students of eleventh grade boys' secondary school according to Morgan table. And the sampling method was simple random. In this research two methods of data collection were used: library method and field method. The required data were also used for standard questionnaires. Which include :. The Kazemiini and Teacher Risk Behaviors Questionnaire (2012), Bar-on Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire: High School Students' Personal-Social Adjustment Scale (AISS) (1) was developed by Singh, Singh. Pearson correlation and multivariate regression were used for data analysis by SPSS 21 software. The results of the main hypothesis showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and high-risk behaviors and personal-social adjustment of 11th grade students in Firoozeh high school.
