Structure, Condauct, Performance in the Banking Indusry of Iran

This study seeks to examine the structure , behavior , and performance of the Iranian banking industry (comparing the structuralism school and the Chicago school) using the combined data of 8 banks admitted to the stock exchange over a 10 - year period ( -96% ) . ( 2008 ) was collected and tested using Panel Data Method . The findings of the study generally showed that according to structuralism theory, bank structure and bank behavior affect bank performance. And , according to Chicago theory , performance has a direct influence on behavior and structure , and causality in this theory is from performance to behavior and structure . In addition to the other two theories above, there are other schools that have their own view on the causality between bank elements. They believe that the bank's behavioral pattern is an important factor in shaping the bank ' s performance..
