Comparative study of social security status in Iranian law and international documents

Abstract: A comparative study of Iranian law and international instruments reveals that social security in international instruments is a principle of human rights and has been part of the second generation of human rights, in which governments have a responsibility to ensure social security for all. They have citizens and are committed and accountable to international instruments. According to the principle of (29) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, social security is a task of the government, and all segments of society have equal rights to receive social security services. At present, the Social Security Organization is the largest social and economic institution in the country and with more than half a century of experience, it is considered as the main trustee of the Social Insurance Department (the most central area of the Iranian social security system). The right to social security" is directly linked to the responsibility of governments, as emphasized in international documents. International documents emphasize the right to social security for all human beings. That is, all individuals must be treated in the same way as human beings, regardless of any kind of gender, color, race, or religion, and must be protected against the social dangers of the state. In international documents, the right to social security is raised more than the link with human rights.
