Persian Poetry Structure in the Seventies and Eighties of Iran

After the Islamic Revolution, Persian poetry especially in the seventies and eighties was influenced by the profound and rapid political, social and cultural changes. It has also undergone profound transformations affected by internal, regional and global changes in the areas of language, form, structure and content. This has made the poetry of this period quite distinct from other earlier periods. For this reason, new poetry trends emerged along with the presence of numerous poetry trends that had sometimes been active in the pre-revolutionary decades. The present thesis aimed at introducing and analyzing the trends of Persian poetry in the seventies and eighties, the most important of these poetic approaches in these two post-revolutionary decades revealed themselves in the various types of classical poetry and free verse. To this end, efforts have been made to study the key words of this research by stating the general and theoretical principles of the research in the first two chapters. Then, in chapters three to the nine, the poetry trends based on the intellectual and artistic systems (mental and aesthetic patterns) of poets have been analyzed due to the time period factor, in which the political, social and cultural contexts of these trends have emerged. First, the process of formation and development of each trend, and then, their linguistic and literary features, and intellectual and content features were studied and analyzed based on the works of poets of the same trend. Moreover, the famous poets of that trend were introduced, and the characteristics of their works were briefly analyzed through mentioning their numerous poetic evidence.
