Connection between myth and religion in personality :Alexander and Khezr ٫ Solomon and Jamshid٫ Siavash and Joseph.

Religious patterns have long been reflected in myths. Prophets’ life in particular has long been used as a subject to create abundant artistic works in Iran culture and civilization. Myth masterpieces didn’t just deal with explaining championship events, but they are rich in wisdom and ethics. This application of religious and mythological treasures shows a strong bound between myth and religion. Comparing mythical characters belonging to Iran Natural Identity Document and Islam religious patterns, this study shows that there is equal religious instinct in their foundation which has greatly integrated them. This integration has made it difficult in practice to distinct between manifestations and expressions of myth and religion. In this study at first some basic concepts are explained like: the definition of religion and myth, its emergence and applications. Then according to the literary, historical and religious texts, characters are introduced and by comparing the differences and similarities between them, the root of their mythical and religious bounds is expressed. This thesis includes the following: the first chapter: 1. Myth in glossary, definition, origin and its function. 2. Definition of religion, origin and its philosophy. The second chapter: 1. Introducing Solomon in history, literature, the Qur’an and the Bible. 2. Introducing Jamshid,in Avesta, Pahlavi and history texts literature and Shahnameh.3.comparision between Jamshid and Solomon similarities differences,mythic and religious ties. The third chapter: 1. IntroducingJoseph characters in the story of joseph in the Qur’an and the Torah, similarities and differences mythic and religious ties.The third chapter1.Introducing Alexander.Alexander in Pahlavi texts historical accounts literature shahname and religious texts.2.
