Investigation the relationship between the method of financing the companies financial distress:the mediating role of financial constraints

Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of financial constraints on the relationship between financing methods and financial distress of companies. For this purpose, a sample of 112 companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange between 2011 and 2017 was selected, The information was collected using the data contained in the Rahavard software and the reports and financial statements of the listed companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange by referring to the official website of Tehran Stock Exchange; The correlation and regression tests of hypotheses were tested using Spss 22 software. In this study, the Kaplan and Zingales Index (1998) and financial distress were used to measure the financial constraints of the Altman Index (1983). The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is a significant relationship between financing methods and financial distress, Financial constraints also have a significant effect on the relationship between financing methods and financial distress of companies.
