Investigating the impact of new technologies on students' academic achievement using Big Data analysis models

The present study aimed to investigate the role of modern educational technologies in enhancing students’ academic achievement. Given the increasing importance of digital tools in educational systems and the necessity of adapting schools to recent technological developments, this research explored students’ experiences with the use of innovative technologies and their impact on learning processes and academic success. The study employed a qualitative, descriptive–phenomenological approach. The statistical population consisted of all secondary school students in Sabzevar city during the 2024–2025 academic year, from which 16 students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The findings revealed that the use of modern educational technologies not only increased students’ learning motivation but also improved study quality, enhanced interactions with teachers and peers, and strengthened self-regulation skills. However, several challenges such as insufficient infrastructure, lack of teachers’ training, and distractions caused by digital devices were also reported. Overall, the results suggest that the purposeful integration of educational technologies can contribute to improving teaching quality and promoting students’ academic achievement..
