Investigating the impact of digital technology-based learning on academic engagement and academic well-being of junior high school students in Sabzevar city, academic year 2024-2025

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of learning based on digital technologies on academic engagement and academic well-being of junior high school students in Sabzevar city in the academic year 2024-2025. The present study is an applied study in terms of its purpose and a descriptive correlational study in terms of its research method. The statistical population of the present study included all female junior high school students in Sabzevar city in the academic year 2024-2025. Based on statistics taken from the Department of Education, the number of female junior high school students was 5714, of which 360 were selected from the entire population based on the Morgan table and using multi-stage cluster sampling. The required information was collected through the Digital Technology-Based Learning Questionnaire by Watkin et al. (2004), the Fredericks, Blumenfield, and Paris (2004) Academic Engagement Questionnaire, and the Tuminin-Sweeney, Salamila-Arau, and Nimivirta (2012) Academic Well-Being Questionnaire. Pearson correlation test and inferential statistics (regression analysis) were used to analyze the data using SPSS version 24 software. The research findings showed that there is a significant relationship between digital technology-based learning on academic engagement and academic well-being (p<0.05).
