A Study of the Legal System Governing the Production of Digital Currency in Iranian Law and International Trade Law

Digital currency laws in Iran are considered one of the most controversial issues of the day. Due to the fact that digital currencies have emerged as one of the important investment markets in recent years, one of the most important challenges regarding the latest digital currency laws in Iran is that virtually no legislative body has officially discussed digital currencies; That is, neither the Islamic Council nor the judiciary have raised a specific issue regarding digital currency laws in Iran. Especially since digital currency laws in Iran should of course be approved by the Islamic Council and implemented by the government, and the executive judiciary would supervise these digital currency laws in Iran. The only authoritative authority that has spoken about digital currency laws in Iran in the past years is the central bank, which at the very beginning of digital currency discussions sent a circular to money changers, banks and all monetary and financial institutions under its supervision from buying and selling and mediating digital currencies. has prohibited it and it can be said that this circular is considered the clearest digital currency laws in Iran. The legal system governing digital currencies has been fully developed due to the newness of the digital currency issue only at the level of the illegal mining of cryptocurrencies and in International law has also been emphasized in the form of virtual money in some countries.
