The Relationship Automatic Self-Talk With Mental Toughness and Aggression among the Girl Physical Education Students
The purpose of this study the relationship automatic self-talk with mental toughness and aggression among the girl physical education students the population of this study, all the girl physical education students at Sabzevar Universities. The statistical population of this study is 139 female students that 103 individuals were randomly selected as samples. Research tools, Automatic Self-Talk Questionnaire for Sports (ASTQS) Zourbanos (2009), Sports mental toughness questionnaire (SMTQ) Sheard and Golby (2009) and Competitive Aggression and Anger Questionnaire (CAAQ) Maxwell and Moores (2007) were used. To analyze data, the statistical methods are descriptive and inferential and Statistical tests were used to fit the data scale.
To analyze the normal distribution of data, Kolmogrov-Smirnov test and Shapiro-Wilk test were used. To test the hypothesis of research and to investigate the relationship between research variables Parametric and nonparametric tests were used depending on the normal or non-normal distribution of data. Correlation was measured in normal data with Pearson correlation coefficient and In order to measure the correlation between data that did not follow normal distribution, Spearman correlation coefficient was used. The research findings showed that there is no significant relationship between positive self-talk and its subscales (Excitement, Anxiety Control, Trust and Training) and mental hardiness; but there is a significant direct correlation of 0.26 between positive self-talk and aggression. There is a significant relationship between positive self-talk subscales other than anxiety control with aggression. There is not a meaningful relationship between negative self-talk and mental hardiness. Spearman correlation coefficients at a rate of 0.23 direct relationships between the two variables, the negative self-talk and aggression showed. There is no significant relationship between negatively negative self-talk subscales (Concern, liberation and there was a significant relationship between physical fitness subscale and aggression.irrelevant thoughts) with aggression; however
