Relationship between crisis type and crisis management phases

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the type of crisis and the phases of crisis management in Mashhad Water and Sewerage Company. This research is descriptive and survey-analytical in terms of applied purpose and in terms of how to collect information. The present study population is the total number of employees of the support department of Mashhad Urban Water and Sewerage Company, which is 400 people. And the sample size in the present study is based on stratified random sampling using Cochran's formula which is 196 people. The tool used to collect data is a questionnaire that has been extracted from the research of Tokakis et al. (2019). This questionnaire has 5 main dimensions and 42 components. To measure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficient of variables was used, which is 0.855. In this research, correlation tests will be used to examine the relationships between variables and Klomogorov Smerinov test will be used to check the normality of the data using software (SPSS) and structural equation modeling (Amos) will be used to test the hypotheses and model fit. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that between (Conventional crises, the ability of the crisis management team leader to evaluate information and make decisions in emergencies and formal internal communications among members of the crisis management team) with the pre-crisis stage, which includes identifying future crisis signals, preparing and preventing crises Yes, there is a positive and significant relationship. There is also a negative relationship between informal internal communication between members of the crisis management team and the pre-crisis stage. The results regarding the crisis stage hypotheses showed that between (formal internal communication between members of the crisis management team, pre-crisis stage, the ability of crisis management team members to make decisions in very important situations, communication including crisis response reduction strategy followed by strengthening measures There is a significant positive relationship with the crisis stage and with the crisis stage, which includes recognizing and controlling the crisis. Also, regarding the post-crisis stage hypotheses, the results showed that (pre-crisis stage, which includes identifying the crisis signal ahead, crisis preparation and crisis prevention, crisis stage, unexpected crises, tolerable crises, formal internal communication There is a positive and significant relationship between the members of the crisis management team and the ability of the leader of the crisis management team to evaluate information and make decisions in emergencies) with the post-crisis stage, which includes rehabilitation and learning.
