The relation ship between emotional independence and social competence with social anxiety disorder secondary high school girl students in sabzevar city

The aim of the present research was to investigate the relationship between emotional independence and social adequacy with social anxiety. The statistical population of the research consisted of all female high school students in Sabzevar City in 2019-2020. They were 296 individuals, 160 of whom were selected as the research sample through simple random sampling. Information collection tools were Emotional Independence, Social Adequacy and Social Anxiety Disorder Questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software version 23 through Pearson correlation and multivariate regression. The results showed that emotional independence and social adequacy can significantly predict the social anxiety. Also, the relationship between individuality components and non-dependence is positive and statistically significant with social anxiety, but the relationship between the non-ideality component and social anxiety is firstly negative and secondly statistically non-significant, and the relationship between emotional independence and social anxiety is positive but non- significant statistically. The relationship between social adequacy and social anxiety is firstly negative and secondly significant statistically. Also, the relationship between motivational and behavioral components of social adequacy and social anxiety is statistically significant which is negative about the behavioral component and positive about the motivational one. However, emotional and cognitive components have no significant relationship with social anxiety
